2013 Concert Schedule

ADMISSION: All pre-view concerts on Wednesday are free of charge, but on-site donations are gratefully accepted.  Admission buttons (good for all remaining concerts) are $10/person in advance, or $15/person starting July 17.

Buttons will be available for purchase on our website and at venues around Missoula beginning Monday, June 10th and at concert venues during Festival week. Children 12 and under are free.

  WEDNESDAY, JULY 17 ~ PREVIEW CONCERTS


 2013 Festival Kick-Off Concert at "Out To Lunch" In Caras Park

11:00 a.m.—2:00 p.m.

"Out to Lunch" is a program of the Missoula Downtown Association.

Seating is limited at this popular kick-off concert, so arrive early or bring blankets or lawn chairs.

Food and beverages are available at various restaurant vendors under the tent.

 

Choral Showcase at Southgate Mall

2:30 p.m.— 4:00 p.m.

Gather at the JC Penney Court for performances by a selection of participating choirs.

 

Festival Youth Choirs at Bonner Park

6:30 p.m.— 9:00 p.m.

Performance by the Missoula City Band, followed by performances by Festival Youth Choirs.

Please bring lawn chairs to this concert, as there is no seating available.

 


 THURSDAY & FRIDAY, JULY 18 & 19 ~ CONCERTS OF THE CHOIRS

Afternoon Concerts

2:00 p.m.— 3:30 p.m. at select venues in Missoula. 

Evening Concerts

7:30 p.m.— 9:00 p.m. at select venues in Missoula.

Each choir will perform multiple times, enabling audiences to hear most of their choirs of choice during these two days.

 


SATURDAY, JULY 20

 International Choral Festival Finale Concert

7:00 p.m.—9:00 p.m.

Adams Center, University of Montana

The Finale concert will feature the pageantry of the "Parade of Nations". Each choir will perform brief selections of their choosing. The concert will conclude with a choral selection performed by the International Massed Festival Chorus, with audience participation, under the direction of David Heidel, Artistic Director and Dr. David Edmonds, Director of Choral Activities, University of Montana.

 


SUNDAY, JULY 21

There are no public concerts held on this day; there are private ICF social functions for Festival participants and host families only. Various choirs will sing at area church services. Call the Choral Festival office at 721-7985 for more information.
